| Full Description: The Kolhapuri Saaz Gold Necklace from Maharashtra (early 20th CE)
An important gold necklace or traditional mangalsutra having various 60 beads of holy mythical designs in the form of golden beads. The central pendant has the figure of mythical Lord and other designs are leaves, fish, lotus, moon, conch, snake, tortoise, bumble bee, tiger nail, and few other designs like belpaan, kirtimukh, five headed snake (Sheshnaag), Lord Vishnu and its avatars with ashtmangals. This pieces is studded with rubies also and golden polkis attached to the designed beads.
