| Full Description: The Kolhapuri Saaz Gold Necklace with Spherical Pendant from Maharashtra (early 20th CE)
An important gold necklace or traditional mangalsutra having various beads of holy mythical designs in the form of golden beads. The central pendant having small golden beads attached to with ruby studded and other designs of different beads are leaves, fish, lotus, moon, conch, snake, tortoise, bumble bee, tiger nail, and few other designs like belpaan, kirtimukh, five headed snake (Sheshnaag), Lord Vishnu and its avatars. This pieces is studded with rubies also and golden polkis attached to the designed beads.
