| Full Description: Maurya Dynasty, Cast Copper, Vidarbha region, (3rd – 2nd BC), Copper Unit, Karshapana, a bold square copper coin cast by the ministers of ashoka in vidarbha area of pavani and bhandara. these are rare coins only published in the numismatic digest by dr c s gupta. there is a large stupa at pavani where an ashokan edict and such coins have been discovered, 7.90g, 20.58 x 20.67mm, about fine. | ||||
