Gupta Dynasty, Samudragupta (335-370 AD), Gold Dinar, “Scepter/Standard” type, Large flan, Obv: the king standing facing left, nimbate, holding the royal scepter (Rajadhanda) adorned with ribbon in his left hand and sacrificing over an altar, a filleted Garuda standard on the left field, crescent visible on the head of Garuda, Brahmi legend “Samudra” below the king's arm, circular Brahmi legend “Samarasativita(tavijayo) jitari……”, Rev: the goddess Lakshmi, nimbate, seated on a high backed throne whose two legs are clearly visible, with her feet resting on a circular mat below, diadem and cornucopia in her hands, a tamgha on the top-left field and a small symbol on the top-right, Brahmi legend “Parakramah” on the right field, 7.8g, 20.08mm, (Variant of Altekar, Bayana Hoard # Pl. II-1/TOTGE, S. Kumar # Class II -Var. C.2), about very fine, Very Rare.
