Full Description: Bengal Sultanate, Ghiyath-ud-din Mahmud, Gold Tanka, Mintless type, AH 933, Badr Shahi type, Obv: al sultan bin al sultan ghiyath-ud-dunya wal deen abul muzaffar mahmud shah, Rev: al sultan bin busain shah al sultan, khuld allahu mulkahu wa sultanahn, 10.75g, 21.89mm, (G&G# B891), mint state with superb luster, Extremely Rare. Goron and Goenka lists this as RRR on the rarity scale, this specimen is of excellent choice quality with full legends on both the sides. Badr shahi coins are typical and toughest to get in the entire series and this being in this immaculate condition is very hard to get. Missing from many seasoned collections, probably offered for the first time in auction. |
