Full Description:
Delhi Sultanate, Mubarak Shah, Gold Tanka & Silver Tanka, Lot of Two Coins, Both Coins obverse same legend, Obv: fi ahd al sultan al ghazi al mutawakkil ala al rahman mubarak shah sultan, Rev (silver): fi zaman al iman amir al momineen khilidat khilafatahu, Rev (gold): ya fatah mubarak fath mubeen in circle, 11.40g, 11.25g, 21.47mm, 17.98mm, (G&G # D 658 & 660), about extremely fine, Exceedingly Rare.

Gold Tanka is mentioned as RRR and Silver Tanka is mentioned as RR on the rarity scale by Goron and Goenka.

Important thing to note here is that Mubarak Shah did not issue any coins with his own name during the first seven years of his reign preferring to continue the posthumous types of Firuz Tughluq and Muhammad bin Firuz.

Goron and Goenka mentions in their book that the Mubarak's own gold and silver tanks are very rare and only few specimens are reported. And comparatively the coins issued in his name are more rarer than of the posthumous coinage issued by him.

The reverse of the gold tanka has the quotations from the holy Quran which means that absolutely we have won for thee a manifest victory so it could also be attributed as a Victory type coin.

Both specimens are of the highest rarity in the coinage of Delhi Sultans.
