| Full Description: Baroda, Sayaji Rao III, Copper Rupee (Pattern), VS 1943/1886 AD, off-Metal struck, Obv: bust of king to right, nagari legend around " sri sayaji rao-gayakwad", Rev: nagari denomination in two lines, ek-rupaya, sword and vs date,leafy border, plain edge, 17.4g, 29.20mm, (KM # Pn A4), about very fine+, Extremely Rare.
Similar coin in Proof condition was sold in David Fore Collection in 2013 for 2300 GBP. Portrait coins were introduced for the first time in the gold series in VS 1942 and in the silver series in VS 1948.
