Full Description: Bedar Bakht, Ahmadabad Mint, Silver Rupee, AH 1202/29 RY, In the name of Shah Alam II, Obv: "saya-e-fazle elah" couplet, Rev: sana julus, zarb, sword mark at bottom, 11.18g, 22.18mm, (KM # 738), about uncirculated, Extremely Rare.
This type of coins believed to be struck at city named Ahamadabad in some where Northern part of India, and not at Ahamadabad, then the capital of Gujarat Province. Issued by Bedar Bakht at the begining of his rebellion before placing his own name on coinage. The last in inferior condition than this specimen was sold by in 2012 for Rs. 35000. |
