Vijayanagara Empire, Tuluva Dynasty, Krishnadevaraya (15 Century AD), Gold 1/2 Varaha, Unusual script, Obv: Balakrishna seated facing accosted by conch (right) and discuss (left), the right hand holds a lump of butter, Rev: three line Nagari legend with interlinear rules "Shri/Krishna/rayaru", 1.7g, 9.74mm, (Unlisted type)about extremely fine with complete legend, Extremely Rare.

Typically all the coins of Krishnadevaraya has nagari legend Sri/pratapa/krishna/raya but this specimen reads as "Sri/krishna/rayaru" which reflects that these coins could have struck specially for the Andhra region based upon the readable script.
