Full Description: British India, 1923, King George V, 10 Rupees, Signed by H. Denning, C Prefix, S. No. C26 315623, (KJ & RR # 3.6.2), folds, stains, spindle holes, graded by PMG as 35 Choice Very Fine, Very Rare. Note: The first banknote in 10 Rupees with the portrait of King George V which was released in May 1923. This whole series is fascinating with variations in the placement of serial numbers, watermark varieties and signatories. The 'Star of India' and a motto was used on the reverse. This banknote is of the type printed in England with the serial number on the top-left and bottom-right. |
