A hoard of 52 local type silver punch marked coins were reportedly from Chhindawara (Madhya Pradesh). All the 52 coins are four-symbol coins and are based on the half-karshapana weight standard. The coins may broadly be segregated into two types. Type I has a very broad flan with thin fabric and Type II has a small/medium flan with thick fabric. Both type I and type II coins weight range 1.6 to 1.7gms.
