Gupta Dynasty, Chandragupta II (Vikramaditya) (375-415 AD), Copper Fraction (1/4 Unit?), bust type, Obv: the king's bust facing left, Rev: Garuda seated facing forward, Brahmi legend below "Chandragupta", 1.43g, 13.03mm, (BMC # Pl. XI-13-14/TOTGE, S. Kumar # Class III, Pg. No. 280), porous surface, complete legend visible, choice extremely fine, Very Rare.

Note: It is assumed on the basis of weight standards that a copper coin was a quarter unit.

This specimen is the plate coin of “Ancient Indian Coins Revisited” by W. Pieper (coin number 885).
