Full Description: British India, King Edward VII, Uniface 5 Rupees, Initial 'B' for Bombay Circle, "AT ANY OFFICE OF ISSUE NOT SITUATED IN BURMA", Dated 9 April 1907, Signed by O.T. Barrow, Red Underprint, SA Prefix, S. No. SA48 10233, (KJ & RR # 2A.1.3 A.2), previously mounted, few pieces missing, folds, holes, bank date seal at reverse, graded by PMG as 10 Very Good, Exceedingly Rare. Note: This is an extremely tough bank note from the Edwardian era. This issue, where Burma is excluded in promise text was released as a universalized issue, except for use at the circles situated in Burma. This type is known from the Bombay, Calcutta and Lahore circles. PMG records only 3 such pieces in their census. A rare opportunity for collectors interested in both Indian and Burmese themes. |
