Full Description: Post Vakatakas, Sri Ram (5-6 Century AD), Khandesh Region, Copper Base Alloy Unit, Vishnukundin type, Obv: a bull walking to the right, Brahmi legend "Sri Rama" and a dotted and linear border around the field, Rev: a conch shell between two tridents surrounded by a circle with serrations, 4.39g, 19.89mm, (S. J. Mangalam, SISIC Vol. V), about very fine, Extremely Rare. Note: Post-Vakataka coins with representations of Sri Ram bearing the Brahmi legend “Sri Rama” on the obverse are extremely rare. This is the second time we are offering this type. |
