Vijayanagara Empire, Aravidu Dynasty, Venkatapathiraya III (16 Century AD), Gold Varaha, Obv: the god Venkateshwara standing below an ornamental arch facing forward, holding a discus (chakra) and a conch-shell (shankha) in two separate hands while another hand is in the abhayamudra gesture, Rev: Nagari legend “Shri Ve/kateswara/ ya namaha” in three lines with interlinear rulers, 3.34g, 10.86mm, (Mitch.
