Note: Curiously, this specimen was not issued before the integration of Kutch State to the Union of India. When the last ruler of Kutch, Raja Madan singhji, died in Surrey, UK, on 21st June 1991, his eldest son Prithviraj Singhji carried forward the royal tradition and assumed the title of H.H. Maharajadhiraja Mirza Maharao Shri Pragmalji III Sawai Bahadur, Maharao of Kutch. The coronation took place at the Tila-medi of the Prag Mahal Palace at Bhuj, on 17th October 1991. This coin (or token) was privately issued to mark the occasion. Issued with the names of the royal highnesses, Pragmaliji III and Queen Pritidevi, of the Royal House of Tripura, is the legend “Jai Ashapuramaa”, a tribute to the reigning deity of the Kutchi-Jadeja rulers. The denomination reads Kutchi Kori.
