Mahatma Gandhi, Hand Written Letter, Dated 6th March 1930, English Script, Signed at bottom in English, Personal Letter Head of Gandhi Niwas, Rajkot, India, the letter was written in blue ink to the Secretary of Congress Committee, letter size 25x19 CM, mounted in the frame, some water stains and tears are visible, otherwise in good condition, Exceedingly Rare.

English text of the letter in 8 lines reads– “6/3/30 at right, To, The Secretary, Congress Committee, I will go next Sunday. All the members should present at that meeting. This meeting is very important for us. Thanking You” as the main body of the text in the center and signed “MK Gandhi” at right.

Note: Mahatma Gandhi was fond of writing and being in constant touch with people through letters. Letters written and signed by him, as evidenced by this letterhead, are enormously difficult to come by. We haven’t handled anything like this in the past and though this letter is not as intact as the previous lot, its importance is not proportionally affected. This can be considered amongst the highest rarity in Mahatma Gandhi’s collectibles.
