Full Description: British India, 1930, King George V, 50 Rupees, Calcutta Circle, Signed by J. B. Taylor, V Prefix, S. No. V4 747594, Printed in Nasik, (KJ & RR # 3.9.2B), folds, spindle holes, great paper quality, graded by PMG as 40 Extremely Fine, Extremely Rare. Note: This rare and gorgeous banknote, with its original colours intact and a well centered watermark, is of quite a rare denomination for this variety and is seldom offered in auctions. They were released for 7 different circles of British India with 2 signatories. V4 is the first prefix for this variety. Mild stains at the tip of an edge and small tears do not detract from the quality of its overall appearance. It is an important banknote in both the British India series and the King George V realm. |
