Full Description: Maratha Confederacy, Kora Mint, Gold Mohur, AH 117X/Ahad RY, "Saye-e-fazle-elah" Couplet, In the name of Shah Alam II, Obv: Persian legend “sikka zad bar haft kishwar sayaye fazle elah, hami-e-dine Muhammad, Shah Alam Badshah”, trident & sword mint mark, Rev: Persian legend “sana ahad julus" & "zarb Kora" at the bottom, 11.30g, 20.64mm, (Unpublished), small test mark on the edge, choice extremely fine, Exceedingly Rare. Note: Gold mohurs of this type were previously unknown, but similar type in silver rupee is known. It is the first time when such a coin is offered in any auction. One of the important rarity in the Maratha coinage.
