Kushan Dynasty, Vima Kadphises (95-127 CE), Gold Dinar, Obv: a diademed half-length bust of the king, facing right, emerging from clouds, holding a mace-scepter held over his shoulder, flames emerge from the left shoulder, tamgha in the left field, Greek legend "BACIΛEYCOOH... MO KAΔΦICHC" "Baselieus Oohmo Kadphises" (King Vima Kadphises) around the field, Rev: an ithyphallic depiction of the deity Oesho (Shiva) standing facing left, holding an axe-shafted trident in his right hand and a Kamandalu in his left, deer-skin draped over left arm, tamgha on the left field and a Nandipada (Triratna) on the right, Kharoshthi legend “Maharajasa Rajadirajasa sarvaloga isvarasa mahisvarasa Vima Kathphishasa tratara” (the Great King, King of Kings, Lord of the World, Great Vima Kadphises, the Saviour) around the field, 7.89g, 19.84mm, (Gobl # 18/Mitch. ACW # 3004 & Jongward & Cribb # 269), almost complete legends on both the sides, choice very fine, Extremely Rare.
