Kushan Dynasty, Kanishka I (127-140 CE), Gold Dinar, “OESHO” (Shiva) type, Obv: the diademed king standing, facing left, holding a spear in his left hand and sacrificing over an altar on the left field, flames on his right shoulder, Bactrian legend "ÞAONANOÞAO KA-NHÞKI KOÞANO" "Shaonashao Kanishki Koshano" (King of Kings, Kanishka the Kushan) around the field, Rev: a four-armed Oesho (Shiva) standing, nimbate, facing left, hair in a topknot and wearing a dhoti, holding a tilted water pot (lota) in his extended lower-right hand, a damru in upper-right hand, and a trident in his upper-left hand, an animal (buck or goat) is held by the horns in his lower-left hand, other left hand akimbo, tamgha on the left field, Bactrian legend “OηþO” (OESHO) on the right field, a dotted border around the field, 7.46g, 18.91mm, (Gobl # 62/Jongward & Cribb # 384), complete details on both the sides, choice very fine, Very Rare.
