Full Description: Medal, Victoria Queen, Silver Medal, 1895, Relief of Chitral (1895), Awarded to “Cook Allahdia”, Obv: veiled and crowned bust of the queen facing left, legend "VICTORIA REGINA ET IMPERATRIX" around, Rev: British and Indian soldiers supporting a standard, legend “1804 Cook Allahdia A.H. Corp” engraved on the edge, bar with clasp, 44.1g, 36.12mm, (MYB 2007 # 142), about extremely fine, Rare. Note: Medals awarded to a battalion’s cook (chef) are quite rare to come by and not many are seen. |
