Full Description: Kadambas of Goa, Jayakesin I (1050-1080 CE), Gold Gadyana, Obv: a mythical lion (Sardula) standing with reverted head facing left, its tail curled against its back and a front leg raised, cyclic year in Nagari legends in front of lion which is readable as "Angira", Rev: Nagari legend "Shri saptako/tisa labdhavara/vira jayakesi/deva Malavara/mari" in five lines, 4.39g, 19.86mm, (Mitch # 237), almost complete details visible on both sides with linear border surrounded by dots, choice extremely fine, Extremely Rare. Note: The cyclic year 'Samvatsara' Angira falls within the reigns of Jayakesin I and this could be one of the first instances of it being inscribed onto a specimen.
