Full Description: Kuninda Dynasty, Amoghbuti (200 BC), Silver Drachma, Obv: a deer standing to the right with a square-shaped vase above its back, an early Srivatsa symbol between its horns, the goddess Lakshmi standing on a Swastika on the right field in front of the deer, facing forward, holds a lotus flower with her upraised right hand, the Brahmi legend "Rajnah Kunimdasya Amoghbhutisya Maharajasya" (Great king Amoghbhuti, of The Kunindas) around the field, Rev: a centrally placed six-arched hill (chaitya) with a parasol, a wavy river-like line below and a Nandipada (Triratna) above, a Swastika above an Indradhvaja in the left field and a tree within railings on the right, the Kharoshthi legend "Rana Kunindasa Amoghbutisa Maharajasa" (Great king Amogh, of the Kunindas) around the field, 2.04g, 18mm, (JONS by S. Kumar 218 # Type IV, Class-1), almost complete legends on both the sides, choice very fine, Very Rare. Note: This variant for this type is with the goddess Lakshmi standing on a Swastika. |
