Chola Empire, Uttama Chola (973-985 CE), Silver Kahavanu, Obv: the Chola royal insignia, i.e., an umbrella along the center on top flanked by two flywhisks, following figures, from left to right: a lampstand, a strung bow, a tiger (Chola symbol) seated right facing two upright fishes (Pandyan symbol) and another lampstand, Rev: the Nagari legend ‘Uttama Cholah’ in two lines, 4.14g, 19.87mm, (Mitch. T&K # 323-29), a complete dotted border on both the sides, about extremely fine, Very Rare.
