Vijayanagara Empire, Aravidu Dynasty, Venkatapathiraya III (16 Century CE), Gold Varaha, Obv: the god Venkateshwara standing below an ornamental arch facing forward, holding a discus (chakra) and a conch-shell (shankha) in two separate hands while another hand is in the abhayamudra gesture, Rev:  Nagari legend “Shri Ven/kateshwara/ya namaha” in three lines with interlinear rules, 3.32g, 11.43mm, (Mitch. K&A # 833/Dr. M. Girijapathi # 388), choice very fine, Rare.
