Full Description: 1904, King Edward VII, Pattern Trial Strike, Planchet/Die Flip Error, Copper 1 Anna, Calcutta Mint, Obv: Edward VII facing right with legends “EDWARD VII KING AND EMPEROR”, Error: Planchet/Die Flip Error, the face of Edward VII double struck at 9 'o clock position, legends "KING AND EMPEROR" invertedly struck near "EDWARD" Rev: Numeral 1 in the center dividing bilingual values on either side, Roman legend “One Anna” spread across, Devanagari legend "Ek Anna” and “Yek Anna” in Persian legend running lengthwise along the stem of “1”, with date 1904 below, (PR # 1061?), 3.26gm, 20.72mm, some signs of environmental deposit, otherwise about extremely fine, Exceedingly Rare. Note: Pridmore has mentioned that the obverse of this trial strike was struck using a silver quarter rupee die. The most interesting fact of this coin is its error which is occurred due to die flip or planchet flip in the process of striking. We have not offered this in the past.
