| Full Description: Sikh Empire, Ranjit Singh (VS 1856-1896/1799-1839 AD), Sri Amritsar Mint, Silver Rupee, VS 1865, ‘Nanakshahi’ Couplet, Obv: Persian legend "Sikka zad bar har do ‘Alam fazl-e-sachha sahib ast, Fateh tegh-i-guru Gobind Singh shah Nanak Wahab ast", Rev: Persian legend "Zarb Sri Amritsar jiyo, maimanat julus manus, bakht Akal Takht", Vikram Samvat year with leaf extended symbol, 11.15g, 21.70mm, (Gurprit # 1.33.01), choice quality, about extremely fine, Very Scarce. Note: In the years VS 1865 and VS 1866, the leaf symbol had certain variations. The most distinguished among these was the tip of the leaf extended to form an inverted triangle with the base of the triangle facing 3 berry-like symbols. | ||||
