BRUCE", Obv: "2^ND LIEUT/W.B.BRUCE/1907-08" inscribed in the center and "ASSAM VALLEY LIGHT HORSE" around the field, Rev:  crossed rifles with a star on top, legend "BEST SHOT III 'H' TROOP" inscribed at the exergue, along with the ring to wear, packed in an original mint box, 6.75g, 25.06mm, about very fine, Rare.

Note: The Assam Valley Light Horse regiment was raised in 1891 and formed part of the Indian Volunteer Force, later the Indian Defence Force, and finally the Auxillary Force India. It was recruited from the tea planters in Assam. The regiment was disbanded post-Independence.
