Full Description: Eastern Chalukyas of Vengi (6 Century CE), Copper Base Alloy Unit, Vishnukundin typology, Gajalakshmi type, Obv: a roaring lion standing facing the right with an upraised tail, a Srivatsa symbol in front, and a linear border surrounded by dots around the field, Rev: the goddess Lakshmi is shown seated and facing forward in the center flanked by elephants on either side showering water on the goddess, the Brahmi legend "SRI SAḶABHA" below, a lotus in the exergue, a linear border surrounded by dots around the field, 1.40g, 12.20mm, (Unlisted in major numismatic references), beautifully struck and very attractive, choice quality, almost uncirculated, Very Rare. Note: This beautiful Gajalakshmi type has complete Brahmi legends. It has been never offered in the past.
