Kushan Dynasty, Vasudeva I (190-230 CE), Gold Dinar, "OESHO" (Shiva) type, Mint Balkh?, Middle phase, Obv: the diademed king, crowned and nimbate, standing facing the left, sacrificing over an altar, holding a trident in his left hand while a ribboned trident surmounts the altar, Bactrian legend “þAONANOþABA-ZOΔηO KOþANO” “Shaonanoshao Bazodeo Koshano” (King of Kings Vasudeva the Kushan) around the field, Rev: the deity Oesho (Shiva) standing, nimbate, facing forward, hair in a top-knot, holding a trident and diadem, a bull (Nandi) standing behind towards the left field facing forward with its right foreleg raising, Bactrian legend "OηþO" (OESHO) on the right field, a tamgha on the left, dotted border around the field, 7.76g, 20.62mm, (Gobl # 509/Jongward & Cribb # 1086-87), complete details visible on both the sides, centrally struck, choice quality, strong features. XF-AU, Very Rare.
