Full Description: 1835, King William IIII, Silver ½ Rupee, Calcutta Mint, F incused, 21 berries (11L+10R), Obverse A with Unlisted Reverse, new reverse type, with 'two leaves' above 'H' & 'F' of HALF, the 21st berry w/o stem is attached down to a leaf tip below the second 'I' of INDIA, 2nd berry on the right side with stem hangs from a leaf opposite 'F' of HALF, (Unlisted in PR & GK), about very fine, Exceedingly Rare. Note: The two leaves variety is previously unknown and hitherto unrecorded. The highest rarity in half rupees of William IV that is being offered for the first time in any auction. |
