Full Description: Akbar (AH 963-1014 /1556-1605 AD), No Mint, Copper ½ Dam, AH 971, ' Early Mangarh' Type, Obv: Arabic legend Sher Shah Suri legend "fi ahd al-amir al-Hami al din al-diyan" with Sana 971 Hijri year, Rev: "Swastik mark" in the center, around Persian legend "Jalal ud din Muhammad Akbar Badshah Ghazi", 9.07g, 17.53mm, (Variant of Old KM # 6.1; Type 6), about very fine, Rare. Note: Unlike most coins of this type, this coin does not bear Akbar's title with the month and mint name; it instead bears the legends of Sher Shah Suri. A date of 971 is not listed in the KM catalog for this type. It is an interesting coin for collectors of Mughal and Sultanate coins.
