Full Description: Private Cover (2), First Day Cover, Republic India, 1955, 4V stamps of 3 Pies, 9 pies, 1 Anna & 4 Anna, with a very attractive pictorial dispatch seal as “BOMBAY | REPUBLIC DAY | 26. 1. 55” full inner circle size “5” marked behind the date on both the covers. Both the covers have a very beautiful image of the Indian flag with a farmer, Indian cottage industries, and a dam along with the text printed “FIRST DAY COVER | INDIA”, “FIVE | YEARS | PLAN” within the national flag & “26th JANUARY 1955” below the flag, excellent condition, Rare.
Note: The “5” in the Black Seal signifies the implementation of the First “FIVE YEARS PLAN” in India that was launched by the Government in 1951 & was presented by the first Indian prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru to the Parliament of India.
