Both the covers have a very beautiful image of the Indian flag with a farmer, Indian cottage industries, and a dam along with the text printed “FIRST DAY COVER | INDIA”, “FIVE | YEARS | PLAN” within the national flag & “26^th JANUARY 1955” below the flag, excellent condition, Rare.

1. 1 Anna stamp tied and has a delivery seal on the back as “DELIVERY DEPT. | BOMBAY G.P.O. | 26 JAN55”.

2. 3 Pies, 9 pies, 1 Anna & 4 Anna stamps tied. The cover was sent to “Mrs. A Sonto | C C I | Bombay” with a round delivery seal on the reverse side as (I) “BOMBAY – 1 | DELY | 26JAN55 | B”.

Note: The “5” in the Black Seal signifies the implementation of the First “FIVE YEARS PLAN” in India that was launched by the Government in 1951 & was presented by the first Indian prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru to the Parliament of India.
