Mauryan Cast Copper, Vidarbha Region (3rd - 2nd BC), Copper Karshapana, a bold square copper coin cast by the ministers of Ashoka in Vidarbha area of Pavani and Bhandara. There is a large stupa at Pavani where an Ashokan edict and such coins have been discovered. Obv: hollow cross within round and square, Rev: three arched hill within round and square, 10.30g, 21.56 x 23.45mm, about very fine, Rare.
