Full Description: Bengal Sultanate, Khazana, Rukn al-Din Barbak, Gold Tanka, AH 86X, Obv: tughra style legend, Rev: al muayyud bitayid-ur-rehman khalifat allah bil hujjat wal burhan, 11.75g, 23.46mm, unlisted type, about extremely fine, Extremely Rare. 'Rukn-ud-din Barbak' issued a series of Tughra coins. In addition to that his coins have 'Kalima' type, three chamber type with solar and global symbol. Barbak was an able ruler. He deployed habshi in his army imported from Africa. Later those habshis were promoted to generals and later they usurped Bengal sultanate and ruled for a short period.
In Goron and Goenka unlisted but no specimens of the same type were offered for sale from a very long time, and this particular one is missing from many collections.
