Full Description: Bengal Sultanate, Jalal-ud-din Fath Shah, Khazana Mint, Gold Tanka, AH 887, Ornamental borders on both sides, Obv: al sultan ibn sultan, jalal-ud-dunya wal deen abul muzaffar, Rev: fath shah al sultan ibn mahmud shah al sultan, 10.55g, 22.20mm, (G&G # B 600), flower like counter-mark, about extremely fine to almost UNC, lovely strike, Exceedingly Rare. The title of the ruler "al-sultan ibn al-sultan" is spread over both the sides on the coin. Goron and Goenka lists this as RR on the rarity scale, this specimen is probably not offered before in any auction. Missing from various collections. Great Rarity overall !! |
