Full Description: Akbar, Urdu mint, Silver Square Rupee, Kalima Type, AH 987, Obv: kalima shahada in four petalled flattened floral pattern with the names of four khalifas name in fours angles, Rev: ruler name with titles, akbar badshah ghazi & zarb urdu at left bottom corner in an ornamented diamond; the top corners contain "Khallad Allah", 11.50g, 18.90 x 18.60mm, (Liddle# S42), about extremely fine, Exceedingly Rare. Kalima within quaterfoil and names of the khalifas mint name in center, mint which accompanied the imperial army camp struck coins in route and had been named Urdu or Urdu Zafar Qarin. Both camp mints as "Urdu" literally means (Army camp) and "Urdu Zafar Qarin"similarly means army camp associated with the victory. Coins from this series were also used for Akbar's crew during the stay in various parts of his control.
This specimen is of an exceptional beauty and high importance which is probably not offered in auctions for over a long time. Listed in the book as RRR on the rarity scale.
