Full Description: Jaintiapur, Bijay Narayan (SE 1707-1712/1785-1790 AD), Silver Tanka/Rupee, Saka Era 1707, Obv: legends “sri sri siva charana kamala madhu karasya” and a six-pointed star, three beads in the lower field, pistol in the left margin, sword to the right, within a double circled border with beads in between, Rev: legends “sri sri jayantipura purandarasya” & SE1707, with 10 beads at the top within double circled border with beads in between, 9.29g, 27.5mm, (KM #199/RB # N3b), about very fine, Extremely Rare. Note: The coins of this ruler were struck using quite a base alloy and often have traces of silvering, probably to hide the debasement.
