Awadh, Wajid Ali Shah (AH 1263-1272 / 1847-1856 AD), Bait-us-Sultanat Lakhnau Mulk Awadh Akhtarnagar, Silver Rupee, AH 1269/6 RY, Obv: Persian legend "sikka zad bar sim-o-zar az fazl ba tayid elah, zille haque Wajid Ali sultan-e-alam panah", Rev: a parasol above a crown, flanked by mermaids holding a flag, with a crossed sword below, and the Persian legend "zarb Baitus Sultanat Lakhnau Mulk Awadh Akhtarnagar, sana 6 julus, maimenat manus" in the margin, 11.30g, 24mm, (KM # 365.3/MK # 11.48), well-centre strike, sharp legends, original toning, UNC, Rare in this grade.
